1-Day Cruise To Angthong Marine Park with Orion

8 – 8:45 am Free Pick up from your designated resort

9.00 am The boat leaves Ban Tai at 9 am. Upon arrival at the boat, there is an array of snacks, fruit, soft drinks, and tea and coffee to welcome you on board.

10:20 – 12:00 Swimming and Snorkelling at Koh Wao, or Koh Tay Plow. Snorkelling in crystal clear waters, you will see a great variety of beautiful tropical fish and other marine life. Lunch is a delicious help-yourself buffet of traditional Thai food, including spicy curries & seasonal fruit.

12:30 Ao Ka Beach – Talay Nai – Here if you have chosen Kayaks, you can kayak around and make your way to Koh Mae Koh. If you have not chosen kayaks, you stay on Orion, and you will go to Mae Koh, to Talay Nai, the beautiful Emerald Lake.

1:30 Koh Mae Koh – On Mae Koh, we visit the beautiful emerald lagoon Talay Nai, surrounded by steep limestone cliffs, where the scenes are breathtaking. A short, steep climb to the viewing platform offers a stunning panorama of the picturesque islands that Form the National Marine Park on one side and a breathtaking view of the emerald lagoon on the other. Make sure you have suitable footwear!

3:30 Koh Wua Talap Island. Here you can choose to go to see the caves with beautiful limestone formations which are about 50 minutes walk or to the viewpoint, or just relax and enjoy the beach, and see the monkeys. Probably one of the best hikes in the islands of the Gulf of Thailand. Here, there is a path leading up the side of the rocks. It will take 30 minutes to walk up, and it will be well worth it. But be warned, this is not a hike for the faint-hearted. Make sure you have good footwear as there are sharp limestone crags which will be your foothold, especially towards the peak. With a breathtaking view of all the Ang Thong islands, the end result of the hike is well worth it. This trek will justify the trip to Ang Thong alone, but please be warned, this is a tough and steep climb!!!

4:45 Depart Angthong Marine Park

6 – 6:30 Arrive back in Koh Phangan, and free transfer back to your resort.

Staying Overnight?

An extra 100-200 baht charge depending on resort location to be added on for the return car taxi back to their resort.

The return charge if we are running with a big boat is 500 baht and if we are running with a speed boat return charge is 1000 baht.

Please Note

Pick-up is always between 8 and 8.30 am.  The boat departs at 9 am promptly.  Pick-up time depends on where you are staying, so please make it clear in your booking where you are to be picked up from.
Food is included throughout the day along with soft drinks and fruit.

For vegetarians, you can eat everything except the chicken in breadcrumbs.

If you are wishing to stay overnight in the park, please let us know either with a follow-up email or in the notes section provided.  Accommodation in the park needs to be organised by yourselves directly by booking with the Angthong Marine Park website.  If you are choosing to stay in the park, please re-confirm when you check in at the boat, and please note that if you are staying in the park and returning with our boat, there is an extra charge of 100-200 baht depending on resort location for the return taxi to your resort.

Please note that 300 baht entry is included in this price.  If you have any problems whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We pick up from most beaches, but not Bottle Beach, or Had Tien, Had Yang or Had Yuan, but we can make arrangements where to meet.
